Where to Eat...

Breakfast

My sisters and I ate at Blue Heaven's for breakfast. You won't be blue, but your friends will be green with envy when they learn you just had a key lime pie at Blue Heaven's. For breakfast, we ate Rooster Special: two eggs, seasoned potatoes, country sausage and homemade pancakes. You must also try their Breakfast Tortilla which is a meal of scrambled eggs with onion, peppers, herbs and cheese on flour tortilla. It is also topped with sour cream and salsa. The traditional scrambled eggs have been reinvented at Blue Heaven's. The restaurant is located at 729 Thomas St. Key West, Florida.

Lunch

For lunch, we decided to go to Camille's Restaurant at 1202 Simonton Street. This “pinkish” restaurant has a fun and lively setting. Their choices of lunch specialties are great.

Dinner

We found this very elegant bistro at 915 Duval Street named Nine One Five. I think their Soul Mama Seafood Soup rocks! The Thai Style Whole Fish is also tasty. For dessert, we recommend an Assorted Artisan Cheese Plate.

What to Do...

Morning

Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory is a really beautiful place. We saw hundreds of butterflies, native plants and birds. All these magnificent butterflies and birds are remarkable and a relaxing way to begin the day in Key West.

Afternoon

Harry S. Truman Little White House was our afternoon destination. The Little White House is located at 111 Front Street Key West. This living museum is a very meaningful and special historical place and it is still used for government functions.

Evening

We went on a 2 hour cruise on one of Dream Chaser Charters and saw one of the most unforgettable Key West Sunsets. The setting of the two oceans, the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean on our evening charter was breathtaking and one we highly recommend.
