My Perfect Weekend... |
|
| Just last week, I had the opportunity to visit Key West. I was invited by an old friend to visit him sine he already moved to Key West. I've been hearing a lot of good things about the place, mostly about the beautiful tourist attractions. I am a nature lover, so when I got the invitation, and based on what I was hearing about key West, I knew I had to say yes. When I arrived at my friend's place, he immediately told me that he's planning to take me to some of the best tourist attractions that can be found in Key West. And I was like, “that was exactly what I was gonna say to you!” First stop for the day: Coupon Bight Aquatic Preserve This 4,600-acre area of sea grass meadows, mangroves, and coral patch reefs fascinated me at the moment I set my eyes on it. Here, I was able to marvel at the sight of wadding birds and key deers! I love nature tripping so this particular place really made a mark on my mind. Next, we went to Key West Lighthouse. Man, I say to you, the lighthouse was close to reaching the heavens! It was so tall! Too bad we weren't able to go inside since we went there a little earlier than their opening time. But I swear, when I go back to Key West, I'll go inside the lighthouse. Our last stop for my Key West nature tripping was Keywest Botanical Forest and Garden. The place is an excellent frost-free arboretum and botanical garden. There, I saw, for the first time, that tree that they call 'champion tree' specimen. I was really amazed by the wondrous places I was able to go to and see. Our last stop was Nancy Forrester's Secret Garden. The place is a one-acre garden resembling a lush and beautiful green forest. I had fun looking at the trees and plants. It's like a virgin forest, minus the wild animals! I really had a great time at Key West. Thanks to my friend for touring me and inviting me to Key West. I can't wait for round two! |
